MELROSE — Marion V. (Snow) Taylor, 95, of Melrose passed away at home surrounded by family on December 9, 2018.

Marion was born in Newfoundland, Canada on November 26, 1923, one of 10 children of the late William and May (French) Snow.

Marion loved her family dearly. Times spent with her husband Val and her children were cherished. Around the house, Marion took joy in knitting, gardening, cooking, and baking.

Marion loved to play the piano and was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 55 years and a member of the church choir for many years.

Marion is the beloved wife of the late Herbert V. “Val” Taylor with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Ruth Y. Murphy of Fitzwilliam, N.H. and Jacqueline A. Taylor of Melrose. Dear sister of Carrie Gill of Mt. Pearl, Newfoundland, Ruth Warren of Mt. Pearl, Newfoundland, Edna Way of St. Johns, Newfoundland, the late Hilda Snow, Joseph Snow, Chester Snow, Eva Snow, Reginald Snow, and William Snow. Cherished grandmother of Andrew P. Murphy, Brian T. Murphy, Christine Y. Caldwell, and her husband Bryce. Also survived by sister-in-law, Emma Snow of St. Johns, Newfoundland.

Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Marion’s life for her funeral service at the First United Methodist Church, 645 Main Street, Melrose on Tuesday, December 18 at 10 a.m. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Following the committal prayers, all are invited back to the church for lunch.
