TEWKSBURY — Paul J. Wardrobe, 72, passed away at his home in Tewksbury on March 19, 2020.

Paul was born in Medford on April 22, 1947 to the late Roy and Evelyn (McCauley) Wardrobe. He was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1965, graduated from Newbury College and attended Northeastern University. Paul lived in Melrose and Wakefield for many years before moving to Tewksbury in 1995.

Mr. Wardrobe served his country with pride in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Paul had a long career working as a supervisor in the Jet Engine Division at General Electric in Lynn. He loved high performance and classic cars and watching naval documentaries, especially “Victory at Sea.” He also enjoyed his trips with his family to Cape Cod and Mexico.

Paul was the father of Paul J. Wardrobe Jr. and his fiancé Theresa of Andover and Kevin J. Wardrobe and his wife Marie of Alabama, and their mother Jane (Moriarty) Wardrobe. Grandfather of Tylor and Cailyn Wardrobe. Brother of Richard Wardrobe and his wife Dorothy of Billerica and Arlene “Bonnie” Wardrobe of Belmont. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to the new directive from the State of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Funeral Director Association and all the current health concerns funeral services and burial at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose will all be private.
