BOCA RATON, Fla. — Peter William Fox, 46, of Boca Raton, Florida died peacefully in a Florida hospice with family at his side on November 22, 2019 following a prolonged illness.
Peter is survived by his beloved wife Tamra and her mother, Michelle and her husband Anthony, and her dearly departed father, Ural. Peter is also survived by his mother Ellen, brothers James and David and his wife Trefina. He was preceded in death by his father Edward, his grandparents Freeman and Astrid Pike and Edward and Mary Fox. He is an uncle to Gabrielle, Andrew and Matthew Fox.
Peter loved his family. He grew up in Melrose, Mass. and enjoyed summers on the Cape with his aunt Charlotte and his cousin Olga, time spent with his godfather John, as well as the many Fox-family get togethers with his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Peter enjoyed time with his father and brothers particularly when cheering on the Celts, Pats, Sox and Bruins. Peter also enjoyed his time spent with Gabrielle, Andrew, and Matthew especially watching them at recitals and sporting events. Peter was fully devoted to his mother with whom he was forever grateful for her love and enduring support.
Peter spent a career in sales throughout his life.
Peter was a devoted Christian. His life was dedicated to Christ and his church family. Through faith, Peter was able to find joy and peace. Peter spent much of his time evangelizing and spreading the Gospel and helping others. Peter was grateful to Pastor Jonah for his love and support.
Peter spent the last several years residing in Florida where he met and married the love of his life Tamra Lea Fox, who displayed incredible devotion to Peter. With Tammy, Peter found true love and happiness. Peter was blessed by God to find a kind, loving, and beautiful wife. Peter wrote that “Tammy is all that I wanted in life. That is what God has given to me.”
Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, December 5 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 561 Main St., Melrose. Interment to follow the funeral service at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
