STONEHAM — Phillip W. Wilson, 72, of Stoneham, died on October 22, 2017. Phillip was born and raised in Winchester. A graduate of Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, Maine and went on to graduate from Burdett College of Business in Boston and LaGrange College in Georgia.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner. Phillip was the owner of A-1 Ceramic Tile. He loved to travel, garden and cook his famous “Banana Bread.” Relaxing in Shapleigh, Maine was his favorite pastime. Phillip was a kind and gentle soul and enjoyed “talking” to people.

Phillip was the beloved husband of Mary E. (Keefe) Wilson for 35 years. Loving father of Ashley E. Wilson of Stoneham. Caring brother of Howard D. Wilson and his wife Haila of South Carolina, Georgina M. Acton and her husband William of Texas and Stephen L. Wilson and his love, Laurel Lane of Winchester. Also, survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Thursday, October 26 from 4-7 p.m.  Procession from the Gately Funeral Home on Friday, October 27 at 7:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Parish, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private.
