MELROSE — Roland “Rollie” Poulin, 58,  passed away at his home in Melrose on April 11, 2018.

Rollie was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School and lived most of his life in Melrose. He entered the US Marine Corps in 1977 and served his country with pride until 1982. Mr. Poulin worked as an iron worker for many years and was a member of the Iron Workers Local 7 in Boston. He was a very outgoing person with a huge personality and a great sense of humor. Rollie enjoyed the trip he took to Hawaii several years back and was looking forward to going back and visit with his friends someday.

Mr. Poulin was the son of the late Joseph and Gloria (Hopkins) Poulin. Brother of Pamela Temmallo, Faith Gronemeyer and the late Joseph Poulin. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and numerous friends. A funeral service was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday, April 27, followed by the presentation of military honors. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend.
