MELROSE — Therese M. (Boyes) Crowley, 72, a longtime resident of Melrose, passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Conn., on Wednesday, August 1, 2018.

Therese was born in Medford on January 28, 1946, one of six children of the late Joseph Boyes and Mary (Hickey) Boyes. She was raised and educated in Malden. Therese, known as “Terry” was first and foremost a mother. She lived for her family and cherished anytime spent with her grandchildren.

After raising her four sons, Terry worked at St. Jude Medical Center in Woburn for several years. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, especially to Disney World, and loved her vacation to Hawaii. She also loved the thrill of taking on the house at Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun. Terry will be remembered for her love of family, especially her grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as “Nana Bingo.”

Terry was the wife of the late Robert M. Crowley. Devoted mother of Mark Crowley and his wife Jillian of N.H., Paul Crowley of Melrose, Kevin Crowley of Billerica, and Brian Crowley of Monson. Dear sister of Mary Boyes of Saugus, Christine Tibbets of Amesbury, and the late Patricia Arsonault, Janet Barrett, and Buster Boyes. Loving grandmother of Bobby, Erin, Timmy, Liz, Matthew, Patrick, Phil, Shawna, Ashley, and Taylor. Also survived by foir great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends gathered in honor and remembrance of Terry’s life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Monday, August 6, and again on Tuesday before leaving in procession to Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield for her funeral Mass.
