MELROSE – Yvonne (Khattar) Talhouk, 94, passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on January 13, 2019.
Yvonne was the beloved wife of 65 years to the late Said A. Talhouk. Loving mother of Amine Talhouk and his wife Mary Hynes-Talhouk of Fla., the late Amale Daher and her husband Sleiman of Andover and Assaad Talhouk and his wife Amy of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Amy Hvizdak and her spouse Tanya, Grace Milner and her spouse William, Monique Stewart and her spouse Craig, Charlotte de Garcia and her spouse Alberto, Adam Talhouk and Abigail Talhouk. Proud great-grandmother of Kellan, Tatum and Harper, Olivia, Eva and Jacob, Brooklyn, Ana Isabel, and Mateo. Loving sister of Samira Mecherkany. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wednesday, January 16. Funeral procession from the Gately Funeral Home was on Thursday morning, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 9 Herbert St. Melrose. Interment at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend.
