WAKEFIELD — Michael P. DeCecca, 66, of Haverhill, formerly of Wakefield, died on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, at The Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
He was born in Wakefield on July 29, 1954 and was the son of Ralph DeCecca and the late Barbara (Whitney) DeCecca.
Michael grew up in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1973. He was a longtime foreman for the Wakefield Highway Department. Michael was an artist and enjoyed working on cars and being a Papa. He was a jokester and was always good for a laugh. Michael was a people person.
He was the beloved husband of Lorraine DeCecca. He was the loving father of Gina DeCecca and Felicia Patterson and her husband Shane, and grandfather of their children Alina and Oliver, all of Haverhill. Michael was also the brother of Cheryl Flynn, Marie Paiva, Annette Duffy, Jamie DeCecca, and Darlene Krawczyk.
Funeral services are private and in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home in Wakefield.
