NORTH READING — Junior Casey McAuliffe scored 19 points to lead the Hornets to an impressive 53-36 road victory over the Hamilton-Wenham Generals on February 6. Sophomore Lauren Sullivan had 8 points and 5 assists. Sophomore Ali Grasso added 7 points and freshman Julia Howse was outstanding off the bench with 7 points and 8 rebounds.

Down Triton, 41-31

The Lady Hornets improved to 12-4 and pushed their winning streak to three games with their 41-31 victory over the Triton Vikings on Thursday. Julia Howse was the game’s high scorer with 11 points and was two boards shy of a double-double with 8 rebounds. Lauren Sullivan poured in 9 points.

Mauled by Masco, 49-33

The 15-1 Masconomet Chieftains showed why they are one of the best teams in Eastern Mass as they snapped the Hornets three-game winning streak with their 49-33 victory over North Reading on Friday night. Lauren Sullivan was the Hornets’ leading scorer with 8 points.

NRHS is currently 12-5 overall and 7-5 in the CAL. The Hornets host Triton tonight and Pentucket on Wednesday to close out their regular season.
