After the match head coach Matt Tiberii praised his senior starters.

“The four senior starters have been a valuable part of the NRHS girl’s tennis program and will be tough to replace. They really made my transition to North Reading an easy one and made coaching easy for me.”

At first and second singles, the Wildcats had twin sisters playing who are on their way to Harvard and Princeton respectively to play tennis. The twins flexed their muscles and beat both sophomore Ava Czarnota and senior captain Kylie Scher by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores. Freshman Gina Campagna fell 6-0, 6-1 at third singles.

At first doubles senior captain Sydney Davis and freshman Elizabeth Grant were beaten 6-1, 6-3.  Senior Haley MacIntyre and senior captain Jillian Coveney battled hard at second doubles but were bested by one break point in each set 7-5, 6-4 to close out the Hornets’ season.
