NORTH READING — Mother Nature once again interrupted plans for Wednesday night’s Concert and BBQ, which means if you are reading this on Thursday there’s still time to bring the family to Ipswich River Park tonight and enjoy the final North Reading Parks and Recreation Concert and BBQ of the season.

Let Parks & Rec do the cooking tonight and entertain the kids with a Bubble Party in the Park from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.

Headlining the concert that begins at 6:15 p.m. is the aptly named “Backyard Swagger,” a country band. The entertainment is provided courtesy of various sponsors each week. A drawing will be held at 7 p.m.

As always, a full a la carte menu of BBQ fare cooked to order will be available. Bring a blanket, lawn chair and a picnic supper. A $3 per car fee is charged to benefit the upkeep of Ipswich River Park. The walking paths in the park were repaved earlier in July, providing a smooth surface for all ages to enjoy.
