NORTH READING — The Class of 2020 came up big on defense to hang on to a 12-7 victory over the juniors in the annual NRHS Powder Puff game, Nov. 26 on Arthur J. Kenney Field.

The seniors jumped out to a 12-0 lead in the first half behind two TD’s from Sammie Mirasolo. The juniors scored late in the first half to make it 12-7 at the break.

With time winding down, the Class of ‘21 put together a nice drive and threatened to steal one from the senior Hornets as they made it to the 12-yard line.

An attempt at a game-winning touchdown pass was knocked down by senior Lindsay MacLellan to preserve the win for 2020.
