Local school bus driver and avid Red Sox fan

NORTH READING — Corinne A. (Rightmyer) Surette, 82, of North Reading and formerly of Jamaica Plain, died Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Care One at Wilmington. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter E. Surette, Jr.

Born in Paterson, N.J. on February 1, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Blanche A. (Upton) Rightmyer. Corinne has been a resident of North Reading for the past 72 years. She was raised in North Reading and was a graduate of Reading Memorial High School, Class of 1953.

Corinne was a local school bus driver for over 30 years. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family and friends. She always made sure that everyone was taken care of. Corinne was an avid Red Sox fan.

Family members include her loving sons, Edward, Pete III, Paul and the late Tom Surette; daughters-in-law, Laura and Jean Surette; late brother, George Rightmyer; late sisters, Joan Brewster and Lorraine Skelton; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Her funeral was held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Thursday, October 11. Calling hours were held on Wednesday, October 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
