Enjoyed Bingo, knitting and traveling

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. — Mary A. Turcotte, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 28, 2020 at her residence in Crystal River, Florida.

Mary moved to Crystal River 14 years ago to be close to her granddaughter, Kellie Turcotte-Reese. Prior to moving to Florida she was a longtime resident of North Reading, Mass.

She was born and raised in Reading, Mass. and moved to North Reading after getting married. She was the daughter of the late George Thebeau and lrene (Doucette) Thebeau and a graduate of Reading High School.

Mary worked for many years in the courtesy booth at the Atlantic Super Market in North Reading and later as an office assistant at the Hillview Country Club before her retirement and move to Florida. She enjoyed Bingo, knitting and traveling as well as organizing and running day trips at the North Reading Senior Center. For many years she was a volunteer working the polls at election time.

She is survived by a son, Bruce S. Turcotte and his fiancé Frances Martocchio of Wilmington, Mass., her granddaughter Kellie Turcotte-Reese and her husband Craig Reese of Crystal River, Fla., her grandchildren Brian Turcotte and his wife Jenna of Kingston, N.H., Kayla Turcotte of North Reading, her great-grandsons Ryan McDonald of Beverly, Mass. and Alex Reese of Crystal River, Fla.

She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Leon J. Turcotte, Sr., and son, Leon J. Turcotte, Jr., as well as her three brothers, George, Richard and Robert Thebeau.
