Enjoyed fishing, bluegrass and country music

NORTH READING — Philip A. Ricardo, 75, of North Reading, formerly of Reading, Falmouth and California, died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Royal Meadow View Nursing and Rehabilitation in North Reading, after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Stoneham on April 15, 1944. He was the son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Companeschi) Ricardo. He lived in and attended school in Reading and North Reading.

Phil was retired and worked for many years as a carpenter and tradesman.

Phil had a great respect for nature and animals, especially his dogs which he loved. He enjoyed fishing, whether in Plum Island early in life or off the beaches of Cape Cod later in life. He also enjoyed bluegrass and country music.

Family members include his loving sons, Philip A. Ricardo Jr. and his wife Susanne, and Corey A. Ricardo and his wife Diana; his brother, Anthony Ricardo and his wife Alice; and his grandchildren, Anthony and Olivia Ricardo.

Visitation will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Wednesday, May 29 from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
