NORTH READING — Robert A. “Bob” Gard of North Reading passed away on October 6, 2017.
He was the beloved husband of Helen (Schlothauer) and the loving father of Angelina Smith and her husband Jake of New York; Elizabeth Gard of Texas and Joseph R. Gard and his wife Samantha of California. He was also the beloved grandfather of Elyssa, Nyla, DJ and Liam.
The son of the late Arthur and Virginia Gard, he was the brother of Nancy O’Soro and her husband Bud of Reading and Carol Shiner and her husband Jim of North Reading.
Bob was a member and trustee of Messiah Lutheran Church in Lynnfield. He worked for many years at Standard Electric Supply in Boston.
Visiting hours were held at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading on Monday, October 9. A funeral service was held for Robert in the Messiah Lutheran Church, 708 Lowell St., Lynnfield on Tuesday, October 10.
