PHOTO: Award-winning cheerleaders

THESE SEVENTH-GRADE North Reading Middle School girls just finished their half-year cheerleading season competing with East Celebrity Elite gym of Tewksbury. The girls performed exceptionally well in all four competitions. They placed first at Springfest in Hartford, Conn. At Jamfest in Boston, they took first place, earning a gold bid and grand champs. At Cheersport in Amherst they finished in second place, and at Encore in Springfield they took another first place and were also awarded best dance.
