AFTER FINISHING the regular season in second place with a 17-6-5 record, the North Reading Squirt Green team went on to three weeks of playoff games recently. With  hard work from the entire team, they won in the quarterfinals, 10-0 in a shutout over Winchester. In the semifinals the team beat Melrose 5-2 bringing them to the East American Division Championship game. On March 30, North Reading took the American East “AA” Division Championship title in a nail-biting overtime 3-2 win over Reading. Then in the Squirt East “AA” American vs National game on March 31, North Reading was crowned the Squirt East “AA” Champions with an outstanding 3-1 win over Hyde Park. Congratulations to the North Reading Green Squirt team on an amazing season filled with great team work by all players!
