These young athletes truly represented the values of respect and team play that coaches Gina Tammaro, Jay Wesley and Carlos Moreno instill in them. They played hard and won their three tournament games during the first two days of the series to earn the bye into the finals for their age group.

An exciting championship game on the third day of the tournament against host Peabody ended in regular time with a 1-1 tie.  This was followed by a dramatic penalty shootout resulting in a hard-earned, yet well-deserved 2-1 victory for North Reading.
