STONEHAM — Ormsby Lee “Bob” Court, Jr., 94, of Stoneham, formerly of Wakefield died on Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Medford on May 7, 1924, he was the son of the late Ormsby L. and Winifred R. (Fisk) Court.

Mr. Court was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 1942. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a radioman on the Destroyer U.S.S.
Hobby
in the Pacific. Mr. Court was a member of the Wakefield Elks and past Exalted Ruler and the Wakefield Masonic Lodge. He worked his entire career as a lineman for New England Telephone Company. Mr. Court loved carpentry, woodworking, carving, landscaping and gardening.

He is survived by his two sons; Donald Lee Court of Ga. and Stephen Gary Court of Ariz. and his daughter Pamela Jean Court of Wakefield. Mr. Court is also survived by his nine grandchildren and his 16 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters; Marge Yeager and Barbara Lafond and his brother Donald Court.

His funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 11 a.m., followed by an interment at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 p.m.
