WAKEFIELD — Paul K. Burbine, Jr., 77, of Wakefield died on Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Winchester Hospital.

Paul was born in Wakefield on August 5, 1941 and was the son of the late Paul K. and Helen (Foley) Burbine.

Paul was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1959. He later graduated from Northeastern University and earned a master’s degree from Clark University. Paul had worked for Standish Lithographers of Boston and then spent many years as the Financial Director for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Housing Authority. He was a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a motorcycle enthusiast and a collector of antique cars.

Paul was the beloved husband of Yvonne R. (Landry) Burbine. He was the loving father of Michael T. Burbine of N.H.., and Terrie C. Ahern of Fla. He was the brother of Mary Zogalis. He is also survived by his six grandchildren: Andrew, Harry, Victoria and Michael Burbine, Jr., Chantal and Candace Ahern. Great-grandfather of Christopher and Elijah.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday, March 7 at 9 a.m. followed by afFuneral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday 4-8 p.m.
