COUNTRY LAKES, BROWNS MILLS, N.J. — Richard Lawrence Pothier, 78, of Country Lakes, Browns Mills, N.J. passed away December 6, 2018.

He was a native of Wakefield, Mass. and a graduate of Wakefield High School. He also was a graduate of the Riddle Aeronautic University where he received his bachelors of science degree and master’s degree.

Richard was a decorated veteran and was a retired Chief Master Sergeant with 30 years in the U.S. Air Force. He also worked for seven years as a letter carrier in Hightstown for the U.S. Postal Service.

Dick was a member of St. Ann’s Church, Browns Mills and also a member of the Cookstown VFW Post and the Eden Stanley-American Legion Post # 294, Pemberton.

Richard was a Country Lakes resident since 1976.

Beloved husband of Lorette M. (nee Schneider) for 53 years, dear father of Michael J. Pothier and wife Gwen and Christopher R. Pothier and wife Jennifer Kirkbride and grandfather of Jayden, brother of Jeanne Blois and husband David and Dianne Laramie and husband Bill and devoted uncle of David, Jeffrey, Holly, John, Andrea, Kevin and Wendy.

Relatives and friends of Richard’s family are invited to his viewing and visitation 8:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday morning at The Lankenau Funeral Home, 31 Elizabeth St., Pemberton Borough, N.J.

The Liturgy of Cristian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday morning at St. Ann’s Church, 22A Trenton Road, Browns Mills ,N.J.

Interment with Air Force Honors will be in BGWCD Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Arneytown, North Hanover Twp. N.J.
