WAKEFIELD — Steven Czinege, 82, of Wakefield died on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Sid, Hungary on July 12, 1935, he was the son of the late John and Rose Czinege.

Mr. Czinege was raised and educated in Hungary. He had been a Wakefield resident for the past 62 years. Mr. Czinege had worked as a mason for Charles E. Encarnacao & Sons in North Reading. He was a member of the Crystal Community Club and The West Side Social Club both in Wakefield. Mr. Czinege enjoyed going to Suffolk Downs, playing and watching soccer, bocce ball and his vegetable garden.

He is survived by his wife Marcia A. (Fritz) Czinege, his four children; Paul E. Lord, Jr., and his wife Patricia of Wakefield, Michelle M. Koehler and her husband James M. of Londonderry, N.H., Sean A. Lord and his wife Ginger of Wilmington and Marcianne Wanis and her companion Brian Carafa of Wakefield and his nine grandchildren; Paul E. III and Sara M. Lord, Michael, Sean and James Koehler, Shayne Gaffney, Evan and Zachary Lord and Steven Wanis. Mr. Czinege is also survived by his five great-grandchildren.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services are private.
