WAKEFIELD — Theresa M. Collins (DiGerolomo), 92, of Wakefield died Friday, August 16, 2019 at her residence.
Theresa was born in Boston on June 15, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Carmella (Mauriello) DiGerolomo.
Theresa was raised in the North End of Boston and later married her husband Robert Collins and began to raise her family. She was an active member and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph Church in Wakefield. She enjoyed spending time with her family and spending holidays at her house.
Theresa was the beloved wife of the late Robert M. Collins. She was the loving mother of Ronald Collins and his fiancée Clare, Richard Collins, Denise Remick and her husband Bob and Kevin Collins and his wife Sue, all of Wakefield. She was the grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of nine. She was predeceased by her four sisters and two brothers.
A funeral Mass will be held in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held in McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield prior to the Mass from 8-10 a.m.
