NORTH READING — Kathryn Manupelli was unanimously elected to serve as chair of the Select Board for the coming year at the board’s annual reorganizational meeting May 8, the day after annual town election.

Manupelli has completed her fourth year on the board and served as vice chair for the past year.

The board’s two new members, Liane Gonzalez and Richard Wallner, were sworn in by Town Clerk Barbara Stats before the meeting convened. They had run unopposed for the seats vacated by 15-year incumbent Bob Mauceri and nine-year incumbent Mike Prisco, who both chose to retire from office.
