WAKEFIELD —This summer The Savings Bank and Wakefield Community Access Television (WCAT) have joined with the Wakefield Recreation Department to sponsor an outdoor, family-friendly movie series, Movies by the Lake. Three movies will be shown, on Thursday, July 2; Thursday, Aug. 13, and Wednesday, Sept. 2, each starting at 8:30 p.m., at Wakefield’s Lake Quannapowitt by the Bandstand.
Why not start your July Fourth celebrations early with The Lego Movie this Thursday, July 2, and return for Jumanji and Guardians of the Galaxy in August and September? Families can enjoy a picnic beforehand. Bring your chairs and blankets!
The movies are free of charge and attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry.
