Enjoyed summers at York Beach

ATKINSON, N.H. — Frances (”Frannie”) M. Anderson, 92, of Atkinson, N.H., formerly a longtime resident of Wakefield, passed away Monday, June 8, 2018, at home with her family. She was the wife of the late Donald H. Anderson.

Born and raised in Saugus she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Julia (Murphy) Griner. As a young girl, Frannie was active in the Order of Rainbow Girls. After graduating from Saugus High School, she graduated in the Class of 1947 from the Fisher Secretarial School in Boston. She worked for AT&T as a telephone operator.

On May 26, 1956, Frannie married Donald Anderson and they happily shared 37 years of marriage; residing in Wakefield and parenting their two children. In summers, they enjoyed spending time at York Beach, Maine.

Seventeen years ago, Frannie went to New Hampshire to live with her daughter.

She was the mother of Scott D. Anderson of Dorchester and Sue B. Anderson of Atkinson, N.H. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, James M. Narkewich of Burlington and Victoria M. Albano and her husband Christopher of Atkinson, N.H. and great-grandchildren, Kayleigh and Christopher. She was the sister of the late Charles E. Griner, formerly of Griffith, Ind.

A private graveside service will be held in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. Arrangements under the direction of Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home of Stoneham.
