Enjoyed arts and crafts, dancing and her grandchildren

WAKEFIELD — Barbara J. (Keane) Ciullo, 83, a devoted mother and loving wife of Wakefield and formerly of Springvale, Maine, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Brightview Assisted Living in Wakefield surrounded by her family. She was born in Woburn on October 11, 1936 a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Lincoln) Keane.

Barbara grew up in Medford and attended Marycliff Academy of Arlington, St. Joseph’s School in Medford and Cheverus High School in Malden. In 1961 Barbara moved to Wakefield where she spent over 30 years and was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Parish.

Her working years included companies such as General Accident Ins. Co., NET, and Metropolitan Life of Boston serving as a secretary. When Barbara was not working, she would enjoy arts and crafts, playing games with her family, dancing and later in life spending as much time as she possibly could with her three grandchildren.

Barbara will be joining many family members in heaven as she was predeceased by the love of her life and husband Robert H. Ciullo, her loving daughter Julianne Gorham, as well as her adoring sister Phyllis Downey and five brothers – Buddy, Rusty, Donny, Bobby, and Billy (Keane).

Barbara is survived by her daughter Linda (Gorham) Stackhouse and her husband Mark. Her three grandchildren: Michael, Joey and Jordan Stackhouse all of Wakefield; her son David Ciullo and his wife Doreen (Palmer) of Springvale, Maine. Barbara is also survived and loved by her many nieces and nephews.

Her wishes were to have a graveside service and that will be honored on November 23 at Notre Dame Cemetery in Springvale, Maine at 10 a.m. (at the end of Pine Street in Springvale.)
