Enjoyed trips to the casinos

WAKEFIELD — Eleanor M. Malonson, 88, a lifelong resident of Wakefield, died Saturday, August 10, 2019 at her residence.

Born in Wakefield on January 24, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Leo Gerrior and Eleanor (Cullen).

Mrs. Malonson was raised in Wakefield and had attended Wakefield schools. She had worked for the former Savage Cleaners of Albion Street in Wakefield. She had many interests and very much enjoyed trips to casinos.

Mrs. Malonson was a devoted family woman. She is survived by her sons: Frederick H. Malonson and his wife Nancy of Wakefield, Robert P. Malonson and his wife Linda of Saugus, and Kenneth P. Malonson and his wife Lisa of North Reading; her grandchildren: Melissa Viele, Jennifer Malonson, Lori-Anne Malonson, Michelle Malonson, and Jesse Malonson; as well as her great-grandchildren: Shaun, Dante, Nico, Hawthorne and Wyatt. She was the sister of Shirley Branco and Leona Carr and the late Walter Gerrior, Alice Fletcher, Francis Gerrior and William DeVeau.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
