Enjoyed listening to Irish music

DANVERS — Elizabeth M. Beyer, 78, most recently of Danvers, passed away on July 16, 2018. A funeral service will be held for her at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, August 3 at 1 p.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Liz was born in Ireland (County Tipperary) in March of 1940 and was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Deehy) Dunphy. She moved to the States in the early 1950’s and was raised in Swampscott graduating from high school there and attending nearby North Shore Community College. In the 1980’s, she was extremely proud to have earned her U.S. Citizenship. Elizabeth resided in Wakefield from 1976-2004. She enjoyed listening to music, especially Irish, Classical, and Big Band. She worked in the appointment office at Lahey Clinic in Burlington for over two decades.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Beyer; the loving mother of Marc E. Wilder of Saugus and Ronald M. Wilder of Huntington Beach, California; the grandmother of Graham, Marc and Liam and loving aunt/great aunt of several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was the sister of Johanna Dunphy of England. She was also preceded in death by five other brothers and sisters.
