PEABODY — Jennie F. Boccelli, 95, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn, died on July 31, 2018 at her home in Peabody surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Boston on May 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Filippo and Damiana (Ferro) Faragi.

Mrs. Boccelli was raised and educated in Saugus. She had worked as a stitcher for L.B. Evans Shoe Company in Wakefield and Wain Manufacturing in Lynn. Mrs. Boccelli’s (Sigibelle as she was lovingly called by her daughters) greatest enjoyment was cooking for her family; as well as her love of crocheting. A visit with her always meant leaving with a hat, slippers, a shawl, sweater or an afghan.

Mrs. Boccelli was the wife of the late Harry V. “Muzzy” Boccelli. She was the mother of Sharon Boccelli and her wife Ingrid of Putney, Vt., Robin Caruso and her husband Jerry of Gardner, and the late Richard and Harry V. Boccelli Jr., mother-in-law of Barbara Boccelli of Rowley, Lori Boccelli/Pepin, Hooksett, N.H. and the late Terry Boccelli. Sister of Michael Faragi of New Hampton, N.H. and the late Phyllis Beauchamp, Mary Gallucci, Anna Palmerino, John Faragi, Salvatore Faragi and Albert Faragi. Mrs. Boccelli is also survived by her seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, her loving niece and nephew Frances and Richard Ales and devoted caretaker Roz Edosomawn, her friends Anna and Tom McMaster, and Jen and Jim Miller.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday, August 8 at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Forest Glade Cemetery. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 7 from 4 – 8 p.m.
