WAKEFIELD — Joan M. Coles, 87, of Wakefield died March 25, 2020 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.

Born in Everett on June 30, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Gertrude E. (Timmins) Bradley.

Mrs. Coles was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1951. She had worked for and retired as a sales representative from the Paul K. Guillow Co. of Wakefield. She was a member of St. Joseph Church of Wakefield and former member of St. Patrick Church in Stoneham. Along with her husband she was a resident of Edgewater and St. Augustine Florida since 2004 and loved to travel. Mrs. Coles was a long-time member of the St. Patrick’s Drill Team.

She was the wife of the late Robert M. Coles, whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Patricia McDonald and her husband Steven of Wakefield, Susan Selfridge and her husband Robert of St. Augustine, Fla., Robert Coles and his wife Mary Beth of Stoneham and the late Bradley Coles. Mrs. Coles was the sister of the late Kent Bradley. She was the mother-in-law of Kathleen Coles of Sutton. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were private. Arrangements were in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
