Longtime Red Sox season ticket holder

ANDOVER — Neil E. Waisnor, 63, of Andover, formerly of Wilmington, died on July 26, 2018 at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

He was born in Winchester on January 27, 1955 and was the son of Shirley L. (Ring) Waisnor and the late Anthony J. Waisnor Jr.

Neil was a graduate of Wakefield Memorial High School, Class of 1973 and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Class of 1977, where he got his bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Neil had been an Andover resident for the past 22 years, and prior to that he was a resident of Wilmington. He was a retired CFO of Colony North Star in Boston. He was an avid Boston sports fan, and a longtime season ticket holder of the Boston Red Sox. Neil enjoyed traveling, was a member of Vesper Country Club, and was a champagne and wine enthusiast.

He was the beloved husband of Leslie (Camara) Waisnor. He was the loving father of Matthew E. Waisnor and his fiancé Baiba Berze of South Boston and Christopher N. Waisnor and his wife Amanda of Milton. Neil was the beloved son of Shirley L. (Ring) Waisnor and the late Anthony J. Waisnor Jr. He was the brother of Jon Waisnor of Ipswich, Robert Waisnor of Westford, and Thomas Waisnor of Saugus. He was the brother-in-law of Jennifer Martino and wife Michelle Ministeri of Burlington, Natalie Westfall and husband Ken of Windham N.H., and the late Denise Cordeiro and William Martino Jr. Neil is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at the Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove St., Lynnfield at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m.
