North Reading Historical Society’s Apple Festival will be held on the grounds of the Rev. Daniel Putnam House, 27 Bow St., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Features local vendors and artists, famed apple pie baking contest, food, music, performances, kiddie games, pony rides, art raffle and an art silent auction. And, of course, there will be free tours of the historical buildings and North Reading-themed merchandise for sale.
