WAKEFIELD — William J. de Garavilla, 85, of Wakefield died Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in Winchester.
Bill was born in Everett on December 20, 1933 and was the beloved son of the late Cesareo and Anna (Crivello) de Garavilla. He was raised in Everett and had been a Wakefield resident since 1953. Bill was retired from the Jordan Marsh Company where he had worked for 32 years. He was also a member of Saint Joseph Church and was a member of the church choir.
He is survived by his two brothers, Richard C. de Garavilla of Wakefield and Robert C. de Garavilla of Lexington and his sister Anita Jauregui of Needham.
He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Avenue Wakefield on Tuesday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in Saint Joseph Church, 173 Albion Street, Wakefield at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home Monday 4-8 p.m.
